No first strikeThe administration of George W. Bush has stated an intent to strike first against unfriendly nations, before they have attacked us. In so doing, Bush has aligned himself with many "great" leaders of the past: Napoleon Bonaparte, Kaiser Wilhelm, Emperor Hirohito and Adolf Hitler.I utterly reject the first-strike policy as morally indefensible, and I am glad to say that even within Bush's administration there are many who agree. It was the Gestapo's rule to "shoot first, ask questions later." As foreign policy, this is not only wrong but dangerous. No first strike! This page last updated 12/28/05. Contact me |
